Everyday Makeup Routine That Takes Under 10 Minutes

As I’ve gotten older, my relationship with makeup has changed. In my teens and 20’s I was into full coverage and more glam looks. While I still rock a full glam on occasion my thirties have been a shift to quick, simple and light coverage. As a mom (of a toddler no less), I realistically have about 30 minutes of me time in the morning to get my makeup done.

Here is my simple skincare and makeup routine that takes less than 10 minutes for those days when my morning time is limited.

First up - Skincare

Skincare is where I start because the more hydrated and smooth my skin looks, the less makeup I feel that I need to apply.

These are my simple skincare steps (in mostly the correct order – I think)

My Current Everyday Makeup

  • I start with a skin tint that has an SPF.
  • After the tint soaks in for a minute I lightly set my face with a pressed powder.
  • Then I contour lightly with a bronzing powder for a little effortless glow.
  •  A little blush over my cheeks and the bridge of my nose.
    •  I like the Rare Beauty powder blush.
  • For my eyes and brows I finish off with a mascara. I like tubing mascaras for how easy they can be removed without ripping out my eyelashes. I just use a brow gel to lay down my brows and that’s it.

This is my everyday go-to simple routine that feels effortless. I like to stick to no-fuss products that I know and love but am always trying out new products to switch my routine a little from time to time.
